SWAT Fitness, LLC has been serving the DC Community for over 5 years with a vested interest in strengthening our communities by ensuring that all residents are provided an opportunity for growth, good health and youth development. We have become strong advocates for increased services for residents with special needs, which include but not limited to education, Day habilitation, fitness, nutrition, occupation therapy, physical therapy, in-home support services, etc.
The vital importance of well-being, society inclusion, and respect has been the platform of SWAT's physical fitness programs for individuals with disabilities by utilizing the Person Centered Thinking Approach. Our fitness program uses 3 main pillars to achieve physical fitness well-being: (1) Cardiovascular Endurance, (2) Strength/Resistance Training, and (3) Core Conditioning. This allows us to develop an exercise program to the needs of our clients, along with tracking and monitoring improvements in the specialized areas with hands-on assistance.
